Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Islamic Studies.

The ceremony, which took place at the Istanbul University Rectorate Doctorate Hall, started with Director of IU Institute of Islamic Studies Prof. Dr. Murteza Bedir's reading the reason for awarding an honorary doctorate to Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç. Following the reading of Prof. Dr. Murteza Bedir, Istanbul University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak and the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş made their speeches. Istanbul University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak presented Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç his honorary doctorate diploma and the Istanbul University badge. In addition, the President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbas presented a gift to Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç. Dr. Tayyar Altıkulaç expressed his gratitude for the title of honorary doctorate. In his speech, Dr. Altıkulaç said “I am very happy to be awarded with an honorary doctorate among such a distinguished academic staff,” and thanked the participants.
